Thanks for reading and commenting, Yordi.
The first thing we can keep in mind is that some books are more about mindset whereas some books emphasize more on practical actions.
The way I try to get the most of out each book is first, by highlighting or taking notes and trying to have a conversation with the author after reading sessions so that I remember the material well.
I may write the learnings in my journal or publish a post in public. Like you said, writing a blogpost is a good way to think more about the takeways.
Then, I think about the top 1–3 things that I can take away. Those things go into my to-do list that I see everyday until I have seen it enough times.
I try to set intentions in my journal at the start of each day and I end each day with reflection. So, I make sure I reflect on the learning in my to-do list.
Once, I’m ready to move on with the next lesson, I archive the notes and bring in the notes of next learnings.
Every once in a while, I visit my archives to revisit the lessons to make sure I’m still doing the things I learnt.
This is my process and I encourage you to explore yours because what works for me may not work for others.
I’ve also shard some insights in my article: How I Read Self-Improvement Articles For Real Personal Growth Without Wasting My Time
Hope that helps!
