Most people perform at optimal level with 7 or 8 hours of sleep. Some even need 9. Some need 6 and very few people can thrive with even lesser sleep.
You must find your own optimal range. Experiment and find your range. Some days, sleep less hours and notice your energy and mood. Other days, sleep more and notice the same.
Then, do what works best for you.
